Meet Phil Wehmeyer

Phil moved to Durango in 1996 after traveling to the area for both business and pleasure on numerous occasions. Drawn by the beauty of the San Juan Mountains and the vibrant local community, he knew he had found his home.

Having worked in the outdoor sports industry since the age of 20, Phil’s passion for the outdoors naturally aligned with the Durango lifestyle. With over 25 years of real estate experience—most of them centered around Purgatory Resort—Phil is recognized as the most experienced and successful broker in the North County resort area. Over the past two decades, he has closed 70% more transactions in the greater resort region than the next closest agent, a testament to his deep market knowledge, commitment, and results-driven approach.

Having designed and built multiple homes in the area, Phil understands the construction process inside and out and knows the region’s best builders. He’s also owned vacation homes himself, giving him firsthand insight into the nuances and investment potential of resort real estate. Outside of real estate, Phil and his friends, along with his dogs Mac and Sunny, are often found exploring the great outdoors.
